The local farmers of Rongdoi village under Sarupathar LAC of Golaghat district have made a major transition from cultivating winter vegetables to bright red strawberries. Krishna Ranjan Saikia.
"Today, we have distributed strawberry saplings to the farmers of Rongdoi village under Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojana (RKVY) 2022-2023 to promote strawberry farming. District Agriculture Office of Golaghat supported us in connection with the distribution drive. The farmers here do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides and vouches that their plump and juicy strawberries will be cultivated using organic fertilizers like cow dung", said Poonam Gowala: Accountant of Nambor FED Bamboo FPC.
