Traditional delicacies of the Tai-Phakes of Assam are important identity markers of the colourful ethnic community. Peim Thi Gohain, a scholar and an authority on Tai-Phake cultural practices, introduces the listeners to recipe and preparation of different kinds of traditional rice-cakes and rice-based food in this interview in Assamese with Kathabandhu Monoj Kumar Deka. These Tai-Phake delicacies figure significantly in traditional food-habits of the community and are associated with their festivals and rituals.
